Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri is the top state government engineering college in Jharkhand, established in 1949 and affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi.
Spread across a lush 450-acre campus in Sindri (Dhanbad), BIT Sindri offers B.Tech degree programs in 10 engineering disciplines as well as post-graduate and M.Tech degrees.
Admissions to 1st year B.Tech are conducted through JEE Main score via JCECEB state online counselling, while diploma holders get direct 2nd-year entry via Jharkhand D2D Lateral Entry counselling.
